Our Story
1970
In 1970, what is known today as Grupo Premier was originally founded as Almacenes Valencia, located in the Mercado de Abastos in Guadalajara. The company’s desire to meet the needs of the population in the growing food market became a reality.
1992
In 1992, the processing plant was inaugurated, representing a major step in our expansion strategy and bringing Grupo Premier closer to the leadership it would achieve in the following years.
That same year, we accomplished a significant milestone by launching our own branded products to the market for the first time.
2010
In 2010, the merger between Almacenes Valencia and Premier was consolidated.
Thus, GRUPO PREMIER was created. A state-of-the-art corporate building was constructed in Technology Park to house the Group’s headquarters. This project was awarded the CEMEX National Architecture Prize, achieving 1st place in the industrial development category.
2012

2018
In September, our first store with both wholesale and retail counters opened to the public at the Mercado de Abastos in Guadalajara, Mercado Premier. In October, Corporate Monterrey began its operations.
